ITIL® V2, V3 and Business Service Management (BSM) – Why should I care?

Business Service Management (BSM) was not part of ITIL® V2 but has a section dedicated to it in V3, why?  What is BSM anyway and why should I care?  Surely it is some management philosophy that has very little to do with me and my job of providing Service Management to our customers.  Actually BSM is very real and will affect how we do our jobs now and in the future.  ITSM is playing an increasingly important role in IT and needs to establish an identity that endorses that role.  BSM is the path to that identity.  Find out more in this presentation. Come and learn how each and every function within IT (e.g., the Service Desk, Technical, IT Operations, Applications) must link their activities to business objectives.Schedule:
